April 2025 reminder: ~21 hours without city water while Chilibre upgraded intakes

IDAAN suspended the Federico Guardia Conte (Chilibre) plant from 26 April 2025 at 7:00 p.m. to 27 April around 4:00 p.m. — about 21 hours — affecting Panama City, San Miguelito, and Panama Norte while replacing decades-old intake gates and screens from the 1975 era.

It was planned maintenance at the capital’s main potabilization plant.
