Fourth Bridge gear moves pinch Amador and Balboa from 28 Sep to 14 Oct

If your week runs through the Causeway / Amador, La Boca, or the approaches to the Bridge of the Americas, mark Monday 28 September through Wednesday 14 October 2026. Panama’s Public Works Ministry (MOP) says that window is when trucks will haul modular equipment and dovelas (precast concrete bridge segments) between the Amador camp and the Balboa camp for the Fourth Bridge over the Canal.

Hours and what “closure” means

  • 09:00–14:30
  • 22:00–04:00

During those operations, drivers should expect partial lane closures along the route and short total closures—La Prensa, citing MOP, says full stops of about 10 minutes at specific points on Avenida Amador and Avenida Ascanio Arosemena when a dovela needs turning room.
